The Smart Card Centre is part of the Information Security Group (ISG) at Royal Holloway University of London and was set up in 2002 by Vodafone, Giesecke & Devrient and the ISG.

The SCC Open Day is a networking and exhibition opportunity for its sponsors, supporters, lecturers, students and honoured international guests from industry and government organisations.
