8 November 2007 – FIME, a leading smartcard and terminal testing solutions provider, and Integri, the leading provider of test tools and services for electronic transactions, today announced the agreement to build future FIME test tools on Integri’s INQ Open Platform. As part of this agreement, the INQ platform will be automatically included as part of the FIME’s products line.

Integri’s INQ Open Platform can easily be customized or adapted to customer needs. This makes it more straightforward to add new test suites or update test products to support new or modified specifications.

Both companies have extensive experience in testing and have been working together on various test solutions for several years. The use of INQ will enable FIME to run and certify tests on a common platform, which will contain all necessary building blocks for its entire product range.

The partnership will span across the products and services provided by FIME, and will serve the increasing complexity of next generation tests for contact and contactless products.

“Using INQ as a reference platform will enable us to shortcut a number of development processes, while maintaining a high level of personalisation of our services” says Pascal le Ray, Deputy General Manager for FIME. “Moreover, Integri’s recognised experience in the wireless telecom industry is a great opportunity for our growing customer base of mobile payment and NFC clients” he adds.

FIME’s customers, among which the major players in the contactless industry, will now benefit from an enlarged library of testing tools, and from its capacity to consolidate future test resources on a single platform. As a result, all test environments will become entirely customizable and flexible to match smartcard vendors or payment terminal manufacturers’ specific requirements and identity. The short term objective is to drastically increase client’s time to market with improved quality prior to the certification phases. With a unique development platform used across its product portfolio, FIME’s support efficiency will also be streamlined for its whole range of activities.

“We are very pleased to be chosen by FIME for such a widescreen programme” says Jan De Meester, CEO at Integri. “The company will clearly benefit from Integri’s 5 years technology advance in the optimisation of test environments, and will surely provide its clients with higher performance in transactional processes” he adds.
