Brussels, 30 October 2008 – Integri, a leading provider of test tools and services announced today that Atos Worldline, a major European player in the processing of high-volume electronic transactions, has selected its technology for automated testing of their Banksys electronic payment terminals.

Before a payment terminal type is introduced into the market, its compliance with EMVCo functional specifications is meticulously validated. These specifications detail how payment transactions are to be executed and how payment terminals interact with smart cards, acquirers and peripherals. Executing the EMV Level 2 validation tests manually is time consuming, requiring physical interaction to insert cards, validate displays, enter PIN codes, etc.  A manual verification process would take weeks to complete.

Historically, testing of Banksys terminals was performed using FIME’s EVAL test tool which runs on Integri’s INQ® Open Platform. This tool is now integrated with Integri’s automation module which triggers the instructions to the card, host simulator and the terminal under test, avoiding operator interaction.

Automating these tests enables Atos Worldline to complete testing in a significantly shorter time span, reduce manual intervention and in turn improve accuracy and cost-efficiency. As an example, standard EMV testing for thousands of unique cases can now run autonomously overnight reducing a test run from days to hours.

Vincent Roland, CEO of Atos Worldline Belgium states: ”Integri delivered an easy-to-install test solution that enables us to execute the different verification steps at top speed. We gain time when launching new terminals or functionalities and we can focus on more strategic aspects of our business.”

Jan De Meester, General Manager at Integri comments: “Once again, we are showing our commitment to innovative projects, by delivering this fully automated test solution for EMV terminals.” Mr De Meester adds: “Atos Worldline is a close relation since many years. We really enjoy working with this leading market player assisting them in their mission to deliver reliable and convenient payment services.”
