Near Field Communication (NFC) is still a relatively young technology. It enables fast and secure short-distance data transfers between devices such as mobile phones, smart phones, PDAs, camera’s,… just by bringing devices and tags close together. The dawning of the NFC era opens up a whole new range of business opportunities: it’s a technology with an enormous potential and the possibilities are endless. Worldwide, NFC payment scheme trials continue to emerge at fast pace. Commercial introduction of the technology will signifcantly simplify the way consumer devices interact with one another, helping people speed up connections, receive and share information and make fast and safe payments. For commercial success, the interconnectivity devices and tags need to be accurate and interoperable. To guarantee this, all NFC equipment needs to be compliant with the ruling NFC Forum specifications. The NFC Forum selected Integri as official test solutions for the validation of NFC implementations at communication and timing levels (digital protocol layers). Are you looking to introduce NFC? Integri offers the appropriate expertise, training and test tools. Contact us for more information. Your NFC test solutions... NFC ExpertiseYou may not have the time, resources, in-house specialists or knowledge to develop and implement NFC-based applications. Integri's Expert Centre provides you guidance and assists you with professional services. NFC Forum Associate MemberThe Forum is a non-profit organisation aiming to advance the use of NFC technology by developing specifications, ensuring interoperability among devices and services, and educating the market. Integri is an associate member of NFC Forum and takes part in the working groups. NFC application tested for ITSO ITSO, the British membership organisation responsible for the ITSO interoperable smart ticketing specifications, certification, licences, etc , is currently helping research to enable NFC devices to be used within the ITSO environment. On behalf of ITSO, Integri has tested an NFC-enabled mobile phone device; in our in-house test lab the application stored on the phone is tested for compliance to the ITSO Specification. Project leader in Academic/industrial NFC research study
Together with IBBT, a research institute founded by the Belgian goovernment (including 5 university groups), technology provider Keyware and Accor Services, we analysed the possibilities of replacing paper meal vouchers, gift vouchers and discount coupons by an alternative based on NFC technology. Replacing paper-based vouchers would enable customers to receive vouchers on their NFC-enabled phone, pay with them and transfer them to another mobile phone. The two year study results are very promising and reveal that NFC Vouchers are a viable alternative for paper-based vouchers... More information:
