Smartcard specifications and standards cover different aspects of the card, including the physical and mechanical characteristics. The Level 1 tests are application independent and based on international standards such as ISO/IEC 7816-3, ISO/IEC 14443 and the EMV specifications.

To smoothen the implementation and enhance the global interoperability of cards and devices, EMVCo defined a set of Level 1 specifications covering the digital functionality of the communication protocol  for both contact and contactless cards and devices.

Our Integri Level 1 Test Tools enable card and device manufacturers to debug and pre-certify their products prior to the mandatory certification by accredited EMV Test Laboratories. As our Integri Test Tools are used during official certification by Test Labs, first pass certification is guaranteed. Our Test Solutions can also be instrumental as interim benchmark during development.

The Level 1 Test Suites are built on our open Test Platform (former INQ) offering true flexibility and come with the EMVCo defined reference test scenarios.
