The extent of our involvement in your project is entirely up to you: buy an off-the-shelf solution or INQ® Open Tool Framework without any accompanying services, follow some training first, we can show you how to customize the tool or we customize it on your behalf.

Customizing INQ to a given specification is quite straightforward :

Step 1 - Analysis
Analyzing the specification and designing the test environment (preferably with an end-to-end concept). Normally this phase includes the preparation of the test list, giving an overview of all test cases to be covered by the tool.

Step 2 - Development of the Interface
The protocol and the message formats are entered into INQ, so that the tool is able to correctly generate (compile) and receive (parse) messages from the unit under test.

Step 3 - Business Logic
The processing of the tool is extended to include the business logic, such as the control of value sets, the checking of inter-field and inter-message relations (cross-edits), etc.

Step 4 - Test Scripts
Finally the test scripts are programmed to cover all test cases defined in step 1.
